Services Search

This search should be used to find:

• a service
• a framework agreement
• a supplier

(For SEG information use the advanced search)

The search is a text search that searches for whole words. "Wild cards" cannot be used. If you enter a plural it will also search for the singular. Examples, searching for:

1. scan will not find scanner
2. scanners will find both scanners and scanner
3. scanner will not find scanners

The only exception to the above rules is for a suppliers name, e.g: Computa will find Computacenter.

For services the suppliers' service details are searched. If the word you are searching for is found in any of the fields it will be included in the results.

1. Select a category tab (e.g. "Services" tab) of the "Search" area located at the top right of the site.

   

2. Enter your search term in the box marked "SEARCH THE SERVICES".

   

3. Click the "Search" button.

   

4. Due to the size of the eCatalogue you will see a holding screen while all the data for your search is collected.

   

5. As the search may find a match in any or all of the fields it is searching the results are presented in an index, clicking on the heading of the results you require will show you the details in that section.

   

   Clicking on the "matching service framework agreement" link to view the service framework agreement search results section. The results are displayed in a table in the format:

   Framework Agreement Name (Framework Agreement Code) - Number of Matching Supplier - view

   Clicking on either the Framework Agreement Name or "View" will take you to the framework agreement details page for that service framework agreement.

   Clicking on the Number of matching suppliers link will reveal a menu of the supplier names under the service framework agreement whose profile contains the word searched for. Clicking on these supplier name will take you directly to that supplier's service profile page.

6. If you're not happy with the results returned you can refine the search by adding or removing search terms.

   

   To add an extra search term, type the additional word into the field provided and click or select the "Add search terms" button.

   To remove a search term from the search, click or select the "Remove" button next to the term you wish to remove.
