Getting Started

Welcome to OGCbuying.solutions web site where you can find information about the products, services e.g. consultancy and Managed Service available via our framework agreements, that are available to the public sector, NDPB's, utility companies and charities.

To view pricing information and use many of the web site functions you need to log-on; to register for a password please click "Register" at the top of the screen.

Best method to find what you are looking for:

  1. Drop Down Menus

    The Menu bar underneath the page header provides drop down menus that list our services frameworks agreements (e.g. Consultancy), and managed services. Clicking on the text will take you to the relevant page which will display framework agreement information, supplier's capabilities, rates etc.

  2. Search

    There are four search functions, all of them use the same text box and the decision on which one is started is controlled by which tab is selected (above the search text box).

    To find service information, use the "Services" search tab.

    To find product information, use the "Products" search tab.

    To find framework agreement information, use the "Framework Agreements" search tab.

    For Managed Service and general information (e.g. sustainable procurement) use the "Managed Services & Information" search tab.

    To find framework agreements and suppliers you can use any search or the left hand menu.

    N.B. All searches are whole word searches and wild cards are not allowed).

  3. Left Hand Menu

    The left hand menu options change depending on where you are on the web site. More options and functionality are displayed if you are logged in. Direct links from the Menu are available to find framework agreements and suppliers.

    My Buying Solutions

    This enables you to select the framework agreements, suppliers and products that you want to view together with previous orders made via the system. Once your selection has been set up it can be turned on by clicking the "Activate Filtering" button. Your selection is remembered by the system and can be activate every time you visit the site once you have logged on.

    Notice board

    The notice board enables you to find suppliers that can meet your requirement. You are able to post a short description of the requirement which will then appear in the suppliers administration area of the web site. The suppliers respond via the system but never know who posted the requirement, it is then down to the customer to contact the supplier if they wish to do so.

    Invitation to Quote

    The Invitation to Quote enables you to send full tender documentation to suppliers.

  4. Advanced Search

    The advanced search, (accessed by the link at the top of the screen) is especially useful if you are searching for SEGs or a product via its product code.

  5. Scratch Pad

    Once you have found the products and/or suppliers you require they can be added to a scratch pad, which can be printed. An index of what is on the scratch pad is shown on the right hand menu and clicking an item will return you to the detail page of that item. The scratch pad is cleared when you end your session and close your browser.
