Buying Solutions Generic Equality Scheme aims to promote equality in terms of race, gender and disability by using a single framework which has been refined in appropriate areas in order to meet the specific requirements of each piece of legislation.
Through this approach we aim as an organisation to:

- Raise awareness through the in the organisation of all equality related issues

Health & Safety
In keeping with the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, OGCbuying.solutions fully recognises and accepts its legal responsibility as an employer for ensuring that as far as is reasonably practicable, every employee has a place of work which is both safe and without risk to health.
To this end OGCbuying.solutions will take all reasonable steps within its power to meet this responsibility and, in particular, it will within its Management Board devise and develop a positive programme which will ensure the continued and systematic development of health, safety and welfare activities at all work locations.
The Agency also has the contracted services of a staff welfare and counselling support organisation which provides a wide range of staff support and consultancy services free of charge to employees.
Grievance Procedure
OGCbuying.solutions' grievance procedure is for use by all members of the Agency. Its purpose is to ensure that individual members of staff who feel aggrieved about the way they have been treated either by management or their colleagues, are given every opportunity to have their complaint resolved in a fair and just manner. The procedure is intended to deal with all types of grievance. It may include claims of apparent unfairness, interpretation or implementation of policies, or actions which contravene our equal opportunities policy.
