Freedom of Information
The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) was signed by the Queen onto the statute book in November 2000, establishing a general right of access to all types of 'recorded' information held by public authorities. This right will be fully implemented by OGCbuying.solutions from January 2005.
Under the FOIA every public authority is required to adopt and maintain a Publication Scheme setting out the classes of information it holds, the manner in which it intends to publish that information, and whether a charge will be made for the information.
OGCbuying.solutions' Publication Scheme describes what information we intend to publish from our internal documents and materials.
