The Buying Solutions Travel Services framework agreements provide a comprehensive range of booking services which have been established to accommodate the needs of the UK public sector business traveller.
The procurement was concluded under EU regulations, therefore customers can be entirely confident that the offering is compliant with the current European legislation and public procurement guidelines, thereby reducing the time and costs associated with the delivery of these services.
These framework agreements exist as a multi-source option, this providing customer organisations both with choice and competition in each of the Travel Service Category Lots, which include:
- Rail
- Air and Ferry
- Hotel Accommodation
- Conference Facilities
- Vehicle Hire
The frameworks became effective on 1 June 2006 and are open for use for four years.
The decision to use a framework as the contracting vehicle in this instance has provided customers with the opportunity to personalise their call off contract in a way that best suits their organisation's operational needs on Business Travel.

The Travel Services framework agreements reduce the time and costs associated with the procurement of services offered by a pre-tendered, fully EU compliant call off facility. They are open for use by all UK public sector organisations and are one of the key initiatives which support the drive towards achieving the government efficiency targets on collaborative working.
