PFI Partner
MTS value-for-money, fully managed communications service is delivered through a partnership with Global Crossing under a 10 year PFI contract.
Global Crossing, a market leader in the telecommunications field, operates the world's most advance fibre optic network, covering 200 major cities and 27 countries worldwide. All of their products and services are based on leading edge technology and advanced expertise, are all quality assured and are fully EU compliant.
History
The CCTA for many years provided and managed a telecommunication service, initially called the Central Branch Exchange (CBX), in Central London to serve Government Departments within a 1000 yard radius of Big Ben.
The service, now offered by OGCbuying.solutions, has gradually evolved to provide service on a national level and continues to grow and give value for money. Buying Solutions now provides MTS the voice service to over 90,000 users and data to about 300 sites.
